Richard Dent graduated in 1983 and played four years at Tennessee State University. Dent was drafted in the eighth round to the Chicago Bears, with 203rd overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft. Dent was a great pas rusher and beat offensive tackles with his ferocious speed and strength and his part made the Bears' defense legendary. Between 1984 and 1985, Dent recorder 34.5 sacks. In the 1985 season, Dent and the Bears had one of the most spectacular seasons in NFL history. In Super Bowl XX, the Chicago Bears won had landslide victory over the New England Patriots. He was selected the MVP of Super Bowl XX, and continues to be the Bears all-time sacks leader. Richard Dent was an All-Pro defensive end for the Chicago Bears and a member of the 1985 NFL Champions. In 2011, Richard Dent was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
